Frylands Wood focuses on the outdoor elements of the Scout Programme, managed in a way which encourages and enables as many young people as possible to enjoy and experience the benefits of outdoor Scouting. This includes non-Scouting groups such as schools, Churches and other youth groups. We also offer children’s birthday parties or corporate away-days.
The site provides a number of facilities: 60 acres of woodland providing a safe environment for outdoor activities or traditional camping with the option to cook on ground fires; a number of open activity fields; 2 accommodation buildings to provide an indoor base for outdoor activity; adventurous activity provided by trained volunteer staff; a Warden and volunteer crew to support users.
